Anat graduated her B.Sc. in chemistry with expertise in material science at Bar Ilan University. She then did her M.Sc. at Prof. Daniel Nessim's lab, Bar Ilan University. Her research topic focused on the “Synthesis of 2D Layered Copper Sulfide by Chemical Vapor Deposition”. She undertook her Ph.D. at Bar Ilan University under the supervision of Prof. David Cahen, focusing on nitride synthesis for interface passivation in hybrid halide perovskites solar cells.

Anat is an expert in various materials syntheses such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), Atomic layer deposition (ALD), and wet chemistry in an inert environment. She has also experience with numerous ultra-high vacuum deposition methods such as pulsed laser deposition (PLD), radiofrequency (RF) sputtering, and thermal evaporation. She has also worked with characterization methods such as absorption measurements, Raman spectroscopy, imaging and elemental analysis (EDS, SEM, HR-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Kelvin probe (contact potential difference, surface photovoltage spectroscopy).
