Bibhudatta Malik completed his MSc. in Chemistry at Annamalai University, India.

After completion of his MSc. degree, he joined CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, India as a project assistant where he worked on the development of inexpensive and durable oxygen depolarized gas diffusion cathode (ODGDC) for chlor-alkali industry.
He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry at chemistry department, BINA, Bar-Ilan University, Israel under the supervision of Prof. Gilbert Daniel Nessim.

During his Ph.D. he worked in the area of electrocatalysis such as electrochemical water splitting (OER and HER), alcohol oxidation reaction (MOR and GOR), urea electro-oxidation reaction and water desalination (capacitive de-ionization).

After submitting his Ph.D. thesis, he joined as a joint postdoc in the group of Dr. Barad and Prof. Nessim. His research topics in the group of Multinary Material Systems for Energy and Sustainability are focused on the designing and high-throughput studies of multinary materials based electrocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR) and urea electrooxidation reaction (UOR).

Further, he is enthusiastic in high-throughput electrochemical synthesis, studying the electrochemical reaction mechanism, and learning the structure-activity relationship of the catalysts.
